A Starter’s Guide To Enjoying Summer Festivals In Japan [via Tofugu]

An influential web magazine, TOFUGU’s guide of Japanese summer. Though they say it’s a starter’s guide, I guess it covers so much. I used to play Taiko in Japanese festival music group, when I was an elementary school student. It’s a very unique musical form, similar to minimal improvisation music.
