Who is Al Gore?
Al Gore was the forty-fifth vice president of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001 under President Bill Clinton. He is also a prominent environmental activist and has lectured over 1000 times on the topic of global warming, which he calls “the climate crisis. In 2006, he starred in the Academy Award-winning documentary film, An Inconvenient Truth, discussing global warming and the environment.

Al Gore’s Lecture-2
There is a lot of controversy over why Al Gore won the Nobel “Peace” Prize. Some critics might say “How exactly does this pertain to world peace?” or “The Nobel Peace Prize has lost significant credibility”. But research shows that a serious impact of global warming is being felt most by the world’s poorest people. Food production, water supplies, public health, and people’s livelihoods are all being damaged and undermined. Global warming and poverty may sound a different issue but in reality, it’s not. It’s already happening. Everything is interconnected. Global warming can actually threaten human progress and cause political instability or conflicts, making poverty reduction unachievable.
So, despite the skeptics, it is true that Al Gore alone has done more for raising awareness of global warming. Congrats Al!
